Lesson

Sherry offers lessons in dressage, huntsit, show jumping and eventing. We teach experienced contestants at all levels, from taking the first lesson to preparing for national and international shows. Sherry has over fifty years of experience in horse riding, training and teaching and it can help you achieve your specific goals whether it is recreational riding or competition.

Lessons at Up-N-Over Stables

  • 1/2 hour private – $30
  • 1 hour private – $50
  • 1 hour group – $30/rider

Lessons at other facilities

Trip fees – ask for a quote, trip fees can be split between all lessons that trip.
  • 45 min lessons – $50
  • 1 hour lesson – $65
  • XC group – $50
  • 1 hr private XC – $75

What you need to know:

Helmets are required when mounted at all times, we do have a few lesson helmets available.

Arrive 10 -15 minutes early to tack up, mount, and be ready for your lesson.

It will take you an additional 10 -15 minutes to cool down and put your horse away, thus plan on an hour total. We will show and teach you how to tack and untack your horse the first few times.

If you are unable to make your lesson please cancel 24 hours in advance otherwise you will be charged for the lesson excluding weather conditions, emergencies, health issues, etc.
